We were lucky enough to receive some battery packs from ZX Racing. John from ZX Racing sent me their Silver Pack.
These batteries were a pack of GP3300’s with Average voltage of 1.167-1.168, runtime 397-401, IRA 2.7-2.8 CHG. rate of 6.0 amps, and a Discharge rate of 30amps. THE VCTF was set at .90 and the TCTF was set at 5000. All this information is according to the labels on the batteries.
Mike DeMallie of Demallie Racing Products did a charge and a discharge of the cells on the CE Turbo 35 GFX with a 45 amp power supply. Below is the numbers that he got:
Charge INFO
- Charged at 6.0 amps
- Peak Volts 9.00
- 1919 Seconds to charge
- Finished temp 129.9 Degrees F.
Discharge INFO
- RIR 137
- AIR 21.6
- DSG Time 367 Seconds
- DSG Ave V. 6.89
- DSG Ave V1V 6.93
- MAHR 3058
- MWHR 21072
- Finished Temp. 150.1 Degrees F.
The batteries did show some pretty decent numbers. For the price of the cells they are very good. With the numbers game being played out there right now on cells everyone is looking for good cells and good price. I would recommend these cells to someone looking save some money and still get some good bang for there buck.

I ran these batteries recently at a club level race. I must say I was very happy with their performance. I used my CE GFX to charge them @ 6 amps. I ran them in a 5 minute heat, the pack never felt like it dropped off. From the beginning to the end the pack felt like it stayed consistent. The numbers that are on the pack, are not a national level even pack. But for 34.99 for a 6 pack of 1.68- 1.69 they are affordable for the entry level to weekend warrior racer. I would recommend these to any club racer or back yard basher.

Ride have released this new air intake duct designed for shaft drive touring cars.
The air intake is molded of polycarbonate plastic and designed to scoop as much air to the electric motor as possible to help keep it cool.

They were nice enough to send us one of these interesting Air Scoops for review.

Now available from Harco Hobbies are Take Off’s Pre-Mounted Foam Tires for 1/10 GP Touring.

They are available in a variety of sizes - 26mm, 28mm, and 30mm and the following shore ratings - 31, 34, 37, 40, and 43. Available in Double Layered (Five Compounds) or Multi Layered (Four Compounds) gives the tires both high grip and long life.
I received a set of 30mm, 40 shore tires from Harco Hobbies and mounted them on my Associated TC3 and went out to race at the Monroe County RC Car Club track. They were racing Touring Car Oval carpet that night so I decided to try my hand at that.
I did not have a tire truer so I just ran the tires as is out of the box. The tires hooked up great on the carpet. After 2 qualifiers and the A Main I did not see any noticeable wear on any of the tires.
I received many comments on the Take Off tires because of their unique Split 5 spoke design.
After testing these new Take Off tires I’d recommend them to any novice or veteran racer.
