Products Reviewed: SS Concept Body from PTI Racing.

Seen at several recent auto shows, the full size concept car is thought to be the next Impala. PTI adapted it for RC cars, and introduces the first multi configurable RC body. Build it stock, with a rear race wing, with a front spoiler or both. Designed to fit most 190mm electric touring cars and comes with decals, window masks, and over spray film.
I was very impressed with the quality of the lexan as I took the body out of its packaging. The thickness was very uniform throughout the car. They did a great job with all the curves and even the front bumper area had no imperfections even though it looks to be a difficult area to mold.
After cleaning the inside of the body with some warm soapy water we started the masking process.
After we finished masking I decided to paint the car Indy Silver with Blue racing stripes to give it a kind of old school look.
Cutting the body out was a breeze. I must say this body is definitely unique and I was very skeptical at how it would perform at the track.
What sets this body apart from the rest of the bodies out there is the inclusion of an optional front air dam. I opted to install this on the body and convinced my local track to allow me to race it.
All I have to say is WOW. I was VERY impressed with the handling of my TC3 after using this body. Even without tire compound on my tires the car just gripped the track. I turned some of my best lap times with this new body.
If you are looking for something a little different from the norm and that handles great then by all means give this SS Concept body a try!
I would like to thank PTI Racing for the opportunity to put this body through it’s paces.
